I am passionate about people and it gives me great joy to see my learners grow in self-confidence and proficiency. I believe in building a safe trust relationship where learners will feel free to be themselves, ask questions and have fun. I have been a journalist, had my own business, been a psychology counsellor and teacher. Learning language is not only about rules and comprehension. Language is a identity, part of a culture. It is art and powerful. Being a school teacher and tutor for many 2nd, 3rd and foreign language speakers, I understand my student's challenges to pronounce without accents and to understand what is being read. Knowledge and mastering basic rules are essential.
